A Musical Genius
Say you're listening to a song you really like and want to hear other tracks that go great with it. The Genius Playlist feature finds the songs in your music library that go great together and makes a Genius Playlist for you. It's like having your own highly intelligent, personal DJ.

Find Your Music Faster
It's even easier to find the song you want to hear. Now you can view your album art in Cover Flow. Or just press and hold the Center button to browse by album or artist. When you find the right song, press the Center button to add it to your on-the-go playlist.

Rock and Roll Over
Tilt or turn iPod nano on its side, and you'll listen, watch, and play in new ways. You can flip through your album art with Cover Flow. Or, vertically speaking, see more albums and artists on the screen at one time.

Shake Your Groove Thing
Sometimes, we could all use a little unpredictability. And now you can shake to change your music. Just give iPod nano a shake, and it shuffles to a different song in your music library. You'll always be surprised by what you'll hear.

Let the Games Begin
Now you can get in on games made especially for iPod nano and the accelerometer. They respond to the way you move, so they're immersive, addictive, and a blast. The iPod nano comes with Maze, which lets you work your way through vast mazes by tilting and moving. You can find even more games on the iTunes Store.

Even Your Photos Rock
Pull hundreds of photos from your pocket and share them wherever you go. Hold iPod nano upright and see your photos in portrait view. Turn the player on its side to see them in landscape. Your photos look beautiful in their proper aspect ratio on the vibrant, 320-by-240-resolution display.

The World's Biggest Small Screen
Watching movies, TV shows, and videos is big fun on iPod nano. And the high-resolution picture looks crisp and vivid on the 2-inch widescreen display. So you can always have a little video with you.

Customer Reviews

4th Gen Nano
This replaced the 2nd gen Nano, all in all an improvement with screen, memory and some other neat things. Only problem it does not charge from all devices as the 2ng gen did. It is not just this one because we returned it for another and same problem, so that is a big negative.

Things I discovered
I am not going to go into all oof the specs I am going to ttalk about the things I love about it and things I have found. I love this ipod. I upgraded from the shuffle and have no regrets. The screen color is good, the features are good, the body is good.

Things they don't tell you:
The body scratches easy so get a case.
The cover flow is nice but useless and volime cannot be controled when it is on
The shake to shiffle is nice but a little annoying. It does not shuffle if you are running or anything but having to pick it up and give it a good hard shake is inconvienent and I'd rather set it to shuffle of push next track because you have to shake it with a little force.
When coverflow is on you cannot adjust the volume.
If you are navigating through menues while a shong is playing, you can pause but can't unpause unless you go back the "now playing" on the first menue or don't push any buttons or scroll wheel and wait until it automatically goes back to the current song playing.
Cannot change volume if navigating through menues unless (same as above).
Shake to shuffle picks songs from ALL PLAYLISTS on your ipod. So if you are going to use that feature do not sync and playlists that contain songs you may not want to hear at that time.
HINT: If you like music videos and songs, you not not need to buy both from itune, just buy the music video and then transfer it to the video playlists and the music playlist and it will play audio when playing from the music list.
When reading the reviews I always wondered what the "hold" button was for. I now know that it is to allow you to keep the music playing and while deactivating all buttons so you won't be able to accidentallt push the buttons or clickwheel.
The colors are very bold and vivid.

All in all I love this ipod!!! I have no real complaints.

Nice..!
I love my IPod, Its great and also good looking.

Recommendation: If for any reason your original headsets got broke, don't think about cheap stuff cause that's waste, buy the original again because it worth it.

iPod 4th gen Nano
My Zune died, so I bought the Nano, after reading the reviews. This super small unit delivers! Sound blows away my old unit, and it drives my headphones with ease (Koss Pro). Playback is excellent, as are the videos. Setup is a breeze with iTunes-8. If you want a very compact, powerful music system, this is it!

Nice Idea; Poor Reliability; Warranty Service Does Not Exist
After three 16GB iPod nanos with none lasting more than a few months (one week, four months, and 2 months), the reliability of this product is unnacceptable. In addition, the Apple warranty service is also unnacceptable. In one case, the small plastic plate that covers the bottom of the nano fell off when I removed the nano from the plug cord. Since this didn't impact the operation of the nano, I kept using it.

But then the nano backlight stopped working so the screen was too dark to see the menu. I returned the nano under warranty but Apple sent it back saying the nano had been opened or altered based on the small plastic plate not being on the nano. When I called Apple, they reiterated that the small plastic plate being off the nano voided the warranty, no exceptions. A Catch 22, even if I had returned the nano under warranty for the plate falling off, the plate falling off voided the warranty.

Another nano was returned for warranty service and Apple sent it back saying that external factors caused failure. Since the nano was used like any other small, electronic device (it wasn't dropped, it wasn't wetted, etc), one can only conclude these things are so fragile that they can't be used.

Luckily, I was able to return the one that lasted only a week to the place of purchase (Sams Club) and they readily exchanged the defective product.

The features of the nano are great but the extremely poor reliability and a warranty service that is not worth the paper it's written on make this product only worth about .00, not 0.00.
