The designation “MP3″ is a file extension which refers to Motion Picture Experts Group or otherwise known as “MPEG” for short. The term MP3 is even a shorter way to express it. The Motion Picture Experts Group defines the International standards for transmitting and storing music and video.

Net radio stations use streaming to allow users to listen to music on their computers wherever there is an Internet or WIFI connection.
