Great Product!
I dropped my new iPod classic the first day I got it. Thank God I had this Speck case. Who knows what could of happened. Only improvement I would make would be to somehow make it possible to dock the unit with the case on as it is a little bit cumbersome to remove.

Nice case, strange clip
This is a really cool case for an iPod Classic (I'm using it with a Classic 160GB iPod). It is, incidentally, black as described--I'm not sure why the photo has such a brownish cast to it. It is a dark, matte black. It protects the iPod really well, but doesn't seem to interfere with operation.

The case is great, but I got it because it was one of the few cases with a belt clip, which is how I like to wear my iPod. The clip is strange--a kind of whitish plastic that doesn't really go with the black case, and it's really big and awkward looking. And it protrudes rather clunkily from the case--almost an inch. So your iPod is going to be hanging at an odd angle if you wear it on your belt. There seem to be no instructions on how to attach or use the clip. I could figure out how to attach it easily enough (it slides onto a bit of metal that protrudes from the back of the case), but it took me a while to figure out how to secure it (there is a sort of button or lever at the top of the clip that must be pushed when sliding the clip onto the case; releasing it will secure the clip).

It's a mystery to me why it seems to be so difficult to make a decent iPod case with a built-in belt clip. Until such a thing comes along, this one will be okay. It's a cool-looking case with a dorky-looking clip, kind of like a Harley with training wheels.

Speck Toughskin Case - Excellent Buy!!
This is an excellent case for the price. I am familiar with the Speck cases because I purchased one 4 years ago,(not thru Amazon), for my 4GB Nano Ipod. The Speck case that I purchased this time is for the 120GB Ipod Classic and it is worth every penny! This case makes if very easy to hold onto, especially when at the gym, etc. I have the black case and its a tight secure fit on my ipod. Sometimes though the screen is a magnet for lent. Be sure however, to use only a soft wipe on the screen because it may over time develope tiny scratches. The belt clip is a little fragile looking, but so far no complaints. This case protects my ipod investment. Again, this is an excellent case, for an excellent price.

IPod 120Gig Protective Case
This is my first IPod; I bought it to use in my Goldwing motorcycle and felt it should be protected. Also, in reading reviews before my purchase it became clear that a protective case was very desireable to avoid damage to the IPod in everyday use. This case seemed the most capable of protecting my investment so I bought it at the same time and put the IPod into it immediately. The case itself does not disappoint. It's tough, rugged, and the IPod cannot fall out of it. However, the screen protective cover absolutely will not stay in place and this is very annoying. The case should be redesigned with a deep U shaped lip all around the edge to retain the cover. If the cover had stayed in place, the review would have warranted five stars.

bulky but strong
I bought this product after reading reviews, so I know what I am getting ...it is bulky and bit uncomfortable in using in Gym etc but it protect ipod very well...comes with belt clip and very useful...I recommend this product
