Looking for some useful info about the brand new iPod Nano that was recently released by Apple? Well you’re in the right place. I was able to take a look at this cool little mp3 player and I’m going to provide my initial impressions and a quick review in this article. I think that the new Nano may be the best “small” mp3 music player yet, and maybe even the best iPod on the market. Here’s why…

The 6th gen Nano is pretty much the first completely new and different version of the device since it was first introduced way back in 2005. The first five versions were all light and slim with a relatively large screen and the famous Apple clickwheel navigation device. The design of the new Nano takes the product in a very different direction. It features a “multi touch” touchscreen and is much smaller, lighter, and slimmer, making it one of the most “portable” full-featured mp3 players on the market.

Here’s how small and light (and cool) this new iPod is: people are already turning them into wristwatches! Personally I find the built-in clip perfect for securing the Nano anywhere I happen to want to secure it. Some people don’t like the fact that Apple took away the video camera functionality but, in my honest opinion, the smaller size and lighter weight more than make up for the loss of that rarely-used feature.

The new iPod isn’t the cheapest mp3 player out there. It isn’t even the cheapest iPod on the market. But I really think that it is by far the best Nano so far. My gut feeling is that I’ll eventually use it more than my much larger iPod Touch. It’s an ideal mini mp3 player for tough workouts, meaning that it will find its way into my backpack on a nearly daily basis.
